MODE OF ACTION
STAR TRACK is a combination insecticide. One part inhibits chitin formation there by causing abnormal endocuticular deposition & abortive molting. As a result of chitin deficiency the procuticle of the insects loses its elasticity & the insect is unable to complete the molting process which leads to death of insect. Another part is a systemic insecticide used to control sucking and biting insects by direct contact or ingestion. Organophosphates such as acephate bind to and inhibit the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in nervous system tissues.
