MODE OF ACTION
RANGOLI is a combination insecticide where chlorpyrifos is a broad-spectrum insecticide which kills insects upon contact by affecting the normal function of the nervous system. When insects are exposed, chlorpyrifos binds to the active site of the cholinesterase (ChE) enzyme, which prevents breakdown of ACh in the synaptic cleft, whereas alphamethrin acts on the nervous systems of the target pests due to which it gives a quick knockdown action. It also exhibits ovicidal action.
