MODE OF ACTION
CRIPPLE is a combination insecticide, in which thiamethoxam interferes with a specific receptor site in the insect’s nervous system. Once insects feed on the plant or come into contact with thiamethoxam, feeding is irreversibly stopped and insect damage halts whereas, lambda cyhalothrin acts on tiny chan nels through which sodium is pumped to cause excitation of neurons. They prevent the sodium channels from closing, resulting in continual nerve impulse transmission, tremors, and eventually, death.
