MODE OF ACTION
FINALE 505 is a combination insecticide. One part is a broad-spectrum insecticide which kills insects upon contact by affecting the normal function of the nervous system. When insects are exposed, it binds to the active site of the cholinesterase (ChE) enzyme, which prevents breakdown of ACh in the synaptic cleft. Another part acts by disrupting of VGSC function. Disruption of sodium channel function is mediated by specific binding sites. It binds with and disrupts the correct functioning of ion chaneel leading to death of insects.
