MODE OF ACTION
COMMISSIONER is a broad-spectrum insecticide which kills insects upon contact by affecting the normal function of the nervous system. When insects are exposed, chlorpyrifos binds to the active site of the cholinesterase (ChE) enzyme, which prevents breakdown of ACh in the synaptic cleft.
